Come join us here at St Francis Retreat Centre to commemorate the Death of St Francis of Assisi.  Traditionally the Franciscan Family gathers to recall the Transitus -the “passing over”- of St Francis of Assisi on the eve of his feast. The story of his dying moments is narrated, accompanied by hymns, music and drama. By commemorating the death of St Francis in this way we deepen our desire to join him in following the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
