Join us for this year's Lenten retreat..
‘Homecoming' is the theme of this years Lenten retreat at St Francis Retreat Centre. The Prodigal Son is one of the most well known and loved parables in the bible. It is a story about reconciliation and homecoming. Three years before he died, Rembrandt painted his own homecoming as the prodigal son when he surrendered to God’s unconditional love and mercy, expressed so beautifully in the painting here.
In this retreat, you are invited to reflect on your own spiritual homecoming by joining other fellow pilgrims on this retreat. There will be sessions on the Younger and Older son/daughter respectively, the "Fatherhood and Motherhood of God" and "Letting go through forgiveness". There will be plenty of opportunities for silent reflection time.
For this retreat, it would be preferable if you could bring your own copy of the book "The Return of the Prodigal Son" by Henri Nouwen and be familiar with it. However, if you cannot get a copy please let us know.
