WINTER CAMP #38:  Mon 6 - Fri 10 JULY 2026
Winter Camp is one giant tech-free sleepover full of friends and school holiday adventure. Stand atop your crate stack tower, climb the giant’s ladder, balance on the low ropes, splash in a canoe, abseil down the cliff, ride a bike in the forest and shoot some archery. Hang out around the campfire, climb a mountain, go on a night walk and build friendships. Experience the thrill of trying something new, go exploring, be independent and join us on an adventure this July…

Winter Camp is a 4 night - 5 day residential holiday camp for 8–14 year olds. The camp includes all meals and accommodation, outdoor activities, supervision, new friendships and heaps of holiday fun.

FAQs

Is the camp accredited?
We are qualified camp specialists with more than 30 years of experience. Cave Hill Creek is Quality Tourism accredited and an Australian Tourism Award winner.

Waitlist
We expect camp places to fill quickly. Once camp is fully booked a waitlist will operate. Please register for the waitlist to be offered places that become available due to cancellations (subject to availability).

Payment arrangements
Payment is either in full at time of booking or in 2 x 50% instalments. Payment by instalment available for bookings made before 19th June 2026. 50% payable at registration. The remaining 50% will be automatically deducted from the same credit card on 2nd July 2026.

A tax invoice will be supplied with the online booking confirmation. All bookings are via this online portal. Sorry but we do not accept bookings paid by invoice.

Get Active Kids Voucher Program
A Victorian Government program helping children get involved in active recreation. Children named on valid Health Care or Pensioner Concession cards may be eligible for $200 voucher to help pay for Winter Camp.
To apply go to: Get Active. Choose Cave Hill Creek as your Activity Provider. Code is 3429456 (Activity Type: Outdoor Recreation/Outdoor Activity, Location: Raglan).
Applications close 2nd April 2026. Vouchers to be redeemed by (i.e. camp registration) 29th April 2026.
Once you have received your voucher email it to us at: info@cavehillcreek.com.au. We will send you a code to receive  $200 off for each child when you book. If you have already booked and paid for Winter Camp in full, you can apply for a reimbursement at the Get Active website.

What information do I need to provide when I book?
When you book your child's place on camp we will request contact, medical, dietary and other relevant personal details to assist us best care for your child.

What do I bring on camp?
When you book we will send you a booking confirmation by email. It includes a packing list (including what not to bring) on camp.

Bed linen
If you do not have a sleeping bag, hire of bed linen (2 Sheets/Doona/Pillow/Bath Towel) is available for $40pp.

Can I bring my mobile phone?
Camp is tech free. Campers are required to leave their phone at home. We get kids off the couch, outdoors having fun activating minds and bodies.

Can I request to share a room with a sibling/friend?
Campers share activity groups and cabins for sleeping with children of a similar age. Rooms for sleeping are also arranged by gender. You can make requests to share activity groups / rooms with siblings/friends on camp when booking. We will do our best to accommodate these requests. Generally, requests to share room or activity group where campers are more than 1 year apart in age are often difficult to accommodate.

What are arrival and departure times?
Arrival: Please arrive for registration between 10.30-11.15am Monday. A Welcome and Opening Ceremony will be held at 11.30am.
Departure: A Farewell and Closing Ceremony will be held at 11.30am Friday, followed by light lunch with final departure by 1pm.
Parents/carers are encouraged to attend the Opening/Closing Ceremonies.

Transport from and to Melbourne and Ballarat
Need transport to camp? Cave Hill Creek provides accompanied return transport to camp from Southern Cross Melbourne and Ballarat. If you would like your child to use this service, it is essential to pre-book with us. Tickets are $60pp each way. Please meet at 

• Melbourne- Southern Cross station bus terminal 57 at 7.45am Monday pick up and 4pm Friday for drop -off.
• Ballarat - Ballarat Grammar Gate D Bus Shelter on Forest Street at 9.30am Monday pick up and 2.15pm Friday for drop off.

Children with Special Needs
Cave Hill Creek is an inclusive and friendly camp. We want every child on camp to feel happy and safe. If your child has special needs please let us know before making a booking. Our staff do not have specialised skills to care for campers requiring additional care or supervision. To ensure the safety of your child, other campers and our staff, if your child has difficulty participating in large groups, needs additional supervision, requires an aide to attend school or has a behavioural support plan, unfortunately this program is unlikely to be suitable for them.

Illness
If a camper becomes unwell, is injured, tests positive to Covid-19 or develops Covid-19 symptoms on camp, their family will be asked to collect them.

What's the cancellation / refund policy?
You can transfer to a different camp (subject to availability) or cancel and request a full refund up to 14 days prior to camp. All transfer requests / cancellations should be in writing to info@cavehillcreek.com.au. A $100 administration fee will apply to refunds. If you need to cancel please do so as early as possible so we can fill places from the waitlist with plenty of notice.

Emergency Contact
It is a requirement of booking that a parent or nominated guardian must at all times be contactable and available to collect your child if required whilst on camp. If a camper's parents / primary guardian are going to be interstate or unavailable during camp,  please list contact details for an alternative as the second parent/guardian. If the child is travelling from interstate or internationally, a nominated guardian/contact in Victoria is required and should be listed as the second parent/guardian.
